After leaving San Fran, we joined a bus tour that took us to different places on West Coast USA. Our first stop was Yosemite National Park. It’s a World Heritage site with beautiful cliffs, streams and waterfalls.

Our next stop on the bus tour was Los Angeles. Like stereotypical tourists, we visited the Hollywood walk of Fame and Grauman’s Chinese Theatre. It’s not a glamourous, pretty place but it does feel like you’re amongst stardom.

Keeping in with the movie theme, we visited Universal Studios. The best part of the day was the studio movie set tour, though I think my little brothers would be most jealous of the brand new Transformers ride we went on.

Next stop was Las Vegas. This is the most fun, brightest, tackiest place I’ve ever been to. We hit all the major hotels from the Bellagio to Caesar’s Palace. My favourite hotel was Paris, not only because I love all things French, but because I turned 5 dollars into 85 on the roulette table!

Our hotel, the Stratosphere, had the best view of Vegas. It was also right in the middle of the strip and old Vegas, downtown. On the way downtown to Freemont Street where Las Vegas casinos were first incarnated, we passed all the wedding chapels.
